Two bedrooms: both with two single beds each (2x80cm). Well equipped kitchen, microwave. Spacious living room, TV/DVD, radio/CD. WC/Shower with a door to the veranda, an entry-room with a clothes closet. Terrace (65sqm)which goes all around the house, garden furniture. Parking place.
The cottage has a 65 square-meter veranda which goes all around the house. Since the house is in a flatland, the view is wonderful and quite panoramic. Iceland’s most famous volcano, Hekla, is prominent to the north. To the East one can see Eyjafjallajökull, which erupted in 2010. The mountains Tindfjöll and Þríhyrningur can be seen as well. The northern lights play around in the sky under certain conditions, as can be seen in the guest book. Lots of different day-trips can be planned from the cottage, such as to the Seljalandsfoss and Skógarfoss waterfalls, Landeyjar beach, Vestmannaeyjar islands, and historical sites of the Icelandic Saga Njála. The cottage is also near the Lava volcano center which opened in summer 2017.
